Lorenzo Valerio owns a painting factory in Mariano Comense (CO), where he treats both wood and metal, and the difficult relationship with dust and waste is a constant in his business. For years, the operators in his plant have been working with orbital machines connected to wheeled vacuum cleaners.
Firstly, the dust and waste was never really removed and the staff went home extremely dirty. Maintenance had also become untenable because it was very invasive and not always effective.
In winter, the additional vacuum system in the sanding cabin sucks in thousands of cubic metres of warm air, which increases energy consumption for heating.
Finally, the orbital machines connected to the wheeled vacuum cleaners emitted a very high-pitched and annoying whistle when they were being used, which caused hearing problems.

And the quality and capacity of the system have greatly reduced my maintenance work. To the delight of my client, who has had no further work stoppages in this respect".

"We have an 8-metre sanding booth and, thanks in part to the positive experience we had with the central vacuum system on 3 of our stations, I decided to expand the system to 5 stations connected to the central vacuum system." - continued Lorenzo Valerio.
"Undoubtedly, thanks to the central vacuum system, not only do we breathe in far less harmful dust, but the work is smoother because the paint waste doesn't stick to the worktop."
"There has also been an impact on heating costs because with the central vacuum system I no longer have to use the additional vacuum system, which used to suck in a lot of hot air as well as dust." - concluded Lorenzo Valerio.
